US QUIDDITCH CUP 15

Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
The Proving Ground
Through Valley Forge Sports
April 9-10, 2022 or April 23-24, 2022

US Quidditch Cup 15 will be held at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania in April 2022. This is Valley Forge’s first time hosting a USQ event.

A destination that’s rooted in the past and leading the future, Valley Forge and Montgomery County, PA are ideally located just 18 miles from Philadelphia, and home to Valley Forge National Historical Park and the iconic King of Prussia Mall. Montco also offers almost 100 miles of trails, 1,600 restaurants, family-friendly attractions, more than 30 award-winning breweries, wineries, and distilleries, and almost 200 arts and culture venues.

Attendees who fly in can use multiple airports. The closest major airport is the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), located just 30 minutes from The Proving Grounds. PHL serves 25 airlines with nearly 500 daily departures. Other major airports within reasonable driving distance are Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia Airport.

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

USQ hosts regional championships that crown regional champions and are typically part of the qualification process for teams attending the annual US Quidditch Cup. As part of membership benefits, all official teams may attend their regional championship with no event registration fee. The event dates and locations are available chronologically below. For all regional championships, the average driving team is based on the addresses for teams registered at the start of the 2019-20 season.

As stated in our announcement about event finalists, we are not planning to host a dedicated regional championship in the Northwest region. Those teams will be invited to attend the West Regional Championship in the 2021-22 season.

DATES

As in previous seasons our regional championships started the last weekend in October. Due to host cities’ availability, our first regional championship will be held a week earlier, on October 23-24.

There will be some overlap with regional championships in the fall. Event dates have been selected so that adjacent regions do not have overlapping events. Spring regional championships will not overlap in this way.
