The official house band for US Quidditch’s national championship is returning for US Quidditch Cup 9! Harry and the Potters has been a part of quidditch since World Cup IV in 2010. Their show at US Quidditch Cup is scheduled for Sunday, April 17 in the afternoon. The exact time will be announced in early April.

In addition to music, they also will bring their sandwich-making skills to the US Quidditch Cup. Be on the lookout for the Golden Snitchwich: a peanut butter and Golden Graham sandwich that you can catch in your mouth, just like Harry Potter did in his first quidditch match. This blast of protein and carbs is the perfect combination for players looking for a boost of energy now and later. Free Snitchwiches for life are offered to the first seeker to catch the snitch in their mouth. (Editor’s note: not a real offer! please don’t try this in a real match!) More at

Since 2002, brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge (Harry Potter, Year 7 and Year 4 respectively) have released 3 full length albums and played nearly 800 shows in libraries, rock clubs, art spaces, bookstores, basements, backyards and pizza places all over the world. Their high energy live show has been legend for nearly a decade since Pitchfork placed the band in their Best Live Shows of 2005 list noting, “the greatest rock and roll tour of the year took place this past summer in public libraries across America… The Decemberists wish they could lit-rock like this.”

They are hailed as the founders of the wizard rock, a sub-genre of music boasting nearly 1000 bands playing songs about the Harry Potter books. In 2005, they co-founded the Harry Potter Alliance, a non-profit organization that has pioneered fan activism. They were profiled in the 2008 documentary, We Are Wizards and they appear on a Trivial Pursuit card in Sweden.
